Blogging Thoughts
On August 6, 2006 | 1 Comments | Uncategorized |

I’m not thinking about blogging as much as I used to.

Which isn’t to say that I used to think about blogging a lot. But it is to say that I used to think, with some frequency, of things I could put in my blog, and then I put them in my blog.

That hasn’t been true of late.

I don’t feel so bad about it. I mean, most of the blogs in my favorites column aren’t posting At All (and you know who you are). I don’t know what their excuses might be, but they are probably both pitiful and infinitely forgiveable and I won’t pretend to guess at them here.

For my part, I will say that my brain of late is consumed– absolutely consumed– with writing curriclum and praying about my upcoming job and thinking about my students and my children and all the many changes my family is about to weather, for better or for worse.

I am, of course, believing that it’s for the better, but one can never be sure about these things.

No, I haven’t much grey matter left these days to read Joseph and His Brothers or to think of witty and– hopefully– well-written things for this blog. And work on my book? Ha.

I have postings in the back of my mind, just as I have a review for cinekklesia in the back of my mind, and I will get to them Just As Soon As I Can.

But meanwhile, when I visited ZB’s Music Box, I saw a fun blog-thing to post, and so I tried it, thinking I would post it here. And it is fun. But such is my technological impairment that I cannot get it to post here. You’ll have to wait on that.

Meanwhile, I’m thinking that it all is just the way of things: I would do that, if only I didn’t have to do ___________. I will get to that, just as soon as I ____________. And so on, and so forth, for the rest of our lives. And the hope, of course, is that the things we choose to do, the things we make happen, the way we spend the precious commodity of time, is really the Very Best Way.

Here’s hoping.
