We’ve only just recently heard the news of the bomb blast in city center in Nairobi this morning. We were leaving the city at the time of the blast, wondering about all the traffic…. Perhaps this morning’s incident added to the congestion.
In case you are concerned, we are now in Tanzania. We spent the day on a bus traveling south to this lush country, and will be here for the next full day. We leave again and head north to Kenya and the Masai Mara on Wednesday; we’ll be on safari in “the Mara” until Friday, when we begin our journey home.
For now, we are staying at the Uhuru Hotel, a Lutheran conference center in Moshi. I was delighted to discover that they have an internet cafe here, and I will try to do some more posting over the next day or so. My on-line time is very limited, but I will continue to post my thoughts and descriptions in the sequence of their occurrence, as that is what makes the most sense to me. I hope you enjoy reading.
We on this team are deeply saddened by this news from Nairobi. As of yet, we don’t know reasons for motives. We are praying for Kenya especially tonight, as we have been doing since before we arrived.
Please pray too.
