You From Me

But what is there in me that could remain hidden from you, O Lord, to whose eyes the depths of a man’s conscience lie bare, even if I refused to confess it to you? I would be hiding you from me, not me from you.

St. Augustine, from the tenth book of his Confessions.

I am right there with you sister – my current Bible study is a 1978 gem entitled “Behold your God”. This week was on His omnipresence. A beautiful aspect that was more completely opened up when i learned that the word presence literally means “face”. Psalm 139:7comes alive with that thought of Him looking at me face to face, always. Thank you for your words.
