Lyric

So I’ve been listening to my friend Bill Deasy‘s music lately. Something about that Pittsburgh post I wrote a few days ago has me thinking of my hometown, I guess, and Bill’s voice and music and words always evoke that place for me.

So much to think about.

Anyway, here’s a lyric I love, from a song called “Fifty Lifetimes,” from a record by The Gathering Field, Bill’s old band. The words are Bill’s, and you can read them. But you’ll have to go find that voice for yourself. It is So Worth It.

She had no faith to speak of but her silhouette looked saved in fading light.”

Yep. I can live on a line like that For Days.

I LOVE The Gathering Field! I still have the CD that you and Vern let me “borrow” way back when in high school or thereabouts. The Blue Sky Song to this day is in my Top Ten. The boys love it too! I suppose you can still purchase their CDs somewhere? Because I would love to own anything and everything they’ve ever written. Ever.
