I’m taking a time-out here to give a hearty welcome to the phatted calf who has, it seems, entered the world of blogging.
Which isn’t to say that he hasn’t been in this world for Some Time. I know he reads blogs; he has been known to read– and even comment on– this blog from time to time. But I had No Idea that he was considering creating one of his own.
And this is, perhaps, a sad commentary on the state of our lives. Because although the phatted calf is easily One of My Favorite People Ever (as is his lovely Rachel, who is his wife, which must make them one of My Favorite Couples Ever), I have not spent any Real Time with him of late. We haven’t had time to converse, to relax, to sit outside in the dimming light licking the barbeque sauce from our fingers and considering what might be coming in the way of dessert.
I miss that.
Of course, there is no guarantee that, had we had such time together, he would have told me of his blogging plans. But it certainly seems that the chances would be better, or would have been better, or something.
Anyway, He Now Has A Blog. And that’s the point of this post. Already he has two posts there, and they are both worth reading.
For my part, I am delighted about this. Because now, O Reader, you might begin to get to know this truly wonderful person for yourself. And now, I hope, I stand a sporting chance of keeping up with what’s going on in his life.
