Dearest Rebecca,</>You have not FINISHED a thesis...you have BIRTHED one. Don't you remember those sleepless nights after birthing your babies and how exhausted and tired you were? This is one big baby who required of you your strength and nourishment, your life blood poured into it for months and months. Of course your drought analogy fits perfectly. You are drained...but only for a little while, for like those babies of yours, once you get the hang of living with this finished thesis and regain your footing in REAL life, you will indeed run out into a rainy afternoon, arms out-stretched, face uplifted catching raindrops on your tongue and searching the horizon for a rainbow which you will be sure to find. There is a healthy and natural downtime to be had after every great accomplishment...enjoy the quiet of it. </>RD
