Dear Rebecca, I am so sorry not to have read your Blog in such a long time!!</>About Penguins etc, some folks are trying to give animals the same status as humans. And they are not.</>Just now I looked out the window on the port and saw the sunrise over the sea towards West Africa. Beautiful.</></>Love, Dad

Okay, you've taken this way too seriously. I love Planet Earth. It's just that I realized I was getting a little too manipulated by all the hoo-ha. Yes, this post is simply about me (finally) getting wise.</></>I will still watch (and enjoy) Planet Earth (with the sound up).

Wow, just turn down the volume and enjoy the view. I think that the writers felt daunted by the task of having to write for such vivid footage and instead of going with – a picture speaks a thousand words – idea they thought they should rise to the occasion and create drama. Oh well. Olivia loves the drama and she still learns. But for myself, I just block out the drama. I have watched that scene about the whale and I heard those same words but all I could really think the whole time was - what a beautiful animal. What a glorious creature. What a great God.</></>If you want we could loan you our British version where you will spend your time trying to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit and meters to feet and kilometers to miles and thus be distracted from all the verbal drama.
