Hi Deanna, and welcome to my blog. Thank you for commenting. I'm so glad you are loving Pittsburgh; in many ways it is more *home* to me than anywhere else. I doubt we will get to live there again, but I am glad that the city has many who are glad to be there. I want Pittsburgh to thrive.

Rebecca,</></>"Aunt" Karen suggested I read your entry about Pittsburgh. I can say that as someone who was not "held here when very young" (unless rare, short trips to New Castle, PA to visit grandparents count), you <>can<> learn to love her. Marrying a Pgh boy likely helps, but after almost 10 years here I plan to stay and continue loving her. </></>I make that trip across one bridge or another on a regular basis. And each time it is special and breathtaking, regardless of which direction I may be going. Funny how the plain houses, repeating on each hill, and the occasional broken glass or abandoned lot or storefront seem to take on their own personality that says we do belong here among the beauty that is Pittsburgh.</></>Many friends have passed through her, as have you, hoping and wanting to stay. I feel honored to have had been adopted. I, too, welcome houseguests for whom I Do Not Have To Clean. Ever. So when you have more time for enjoying Pittsburgh, come visit. </></>Deanna (yes that Deanna from Durham (Go Blue Devils!) oh so long ago)
