Lynne, Paul, Karen,Yes, I find all of these things also in my laundry– but somehow it was the acorns (and their repeated appearance over the course of several loads) that got my attention. I know I should do that habit-training, Karen…. But then I wouldn’t have the treat of the acorns, would I? Or the sand.Dad! Thanks for commenting! It’s great to hear from you.

I am very familiar with this type of laundry duty! Habit training a 7 year old boy to empty his pockets before the laundry gets to the laundry room has been unsucessful thus far. I promise to DO YOUR LAUNDRY DUTY when we visit NC if you promise to work very hard on Tues and Wed, so we can play on Thurs and Fri.

What about marbles? Candy wrappers? Bits of legos? Stones? Coins? The varitey of things that show up at the bottom of the washing machine when the clean, wet clothes are being removed is amazing!
