BK,Yes, Alice is very confusing. I have a book called _The Annotated Alice_, and it is just that-- the book(s?) and commentary along the sides. I haven't read the whole thing yet, but have read enough of the intro to learn that Mr. Carroll did indeed have "weird" issues involving little girls. Scary."Jabberwocky" is a great poem. My younger sister has it memorized. I tried getting my children to memorize it, but I think they felt it was too freaky. Maybe next year....Thanks for commenting!

Alice is a bit confusing to me too. I never like it. However, I love Jabberwocky. Twas brilig and the giry toves did gire and gimble in the wabes. (Don’t remember the spelling–not that it matters.) Fun to interpret however you want since it makes no sense anyhow. There must be some scary monster though. With claws that catch. BK

Amazingly, I did get it. Very nice and I would love to add something witty but I am currently working and keeping up with the results of the NCAA tournament so I can score my bracket as well as commenting on your blog. So my brain is a already working overtime just typing this comment. And you say at the beginning of your post that your brain is tired but obviously it still works better than mine when it is multi tasking. IMPENETRABILITY!

When I want to communicatethat we’ve had enough of that subject, and it would be just as well if you’d mention what you mean to do next, as I suppose you don’t mean to stop here all the rest of your life – I utter, after a deep breath intake, “So…” look at the floor for a brief moment and if said other party has not got on with it, sally forth with my own agenda. BUT, in my one-day ending pursuit to be a crafty know-it-all I shall thenceforth (can one use “forth” or a derivation thereof in two consecutive sentences and still hold crafty know-it-all status?) exclaim, “Impenetrability!”
